What Is Spinal Flow?

Spinal Flow is a gentle, non-invasive wellness modality performed while the client remains fully clothed. The practitioner uses light touch along specific areas of the spine and body to help the client relax, settle, and reconnect with their nervous system. Many clients describe the experience as calming, grounding, and restorative.

Everything you want to know before booking

Spinal Flow Technique® is a gentle, non-invasive wellness modality that uses light touch along specific access points of the spine to support the nervous system. The practitioner places their hands at these points while the client lies fully clothed on a massage table.

The intention is to help the body shift from a state of tension or activation into a state of ease and rest. Many clients describe the experience as deeply calming — similar to the feeling of finally exhaling after a long day.

No. Spinal Flow is not massage therapy. There is no muscle manipulation, deep tissue work, or kneading involved. The touch is light and intentional — focused on the nervous system rather than the muscles or soft tissue.

You also remain fully clothed throughout a Spinal Flow session, which is different from most massage treatments.

No. Spinal Flow is not chiropractic care. There is no spinal adjustment, cracking, manipulation, or structural correction involved. Chiropractors work with the alignment and mechanics of the spine. Spinal Flow works with the nervous system through light, non-manipulative touch.

Spinal Flow is a complementary wellness practice and is not a substitute for chiropractic, physiotherapy, or any other form of medical or rehabilitative care.

Yes — completely. You remain fully clothed for the entire session. Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is recommended. There is no need to undress or use draping. Many clients wear yoga pants or leggings and a comfortable top.

No. Spinal Flow is gentle by design. The touch is light — there is no pressure, no cracking, and no discomfort involved in the technique itself.

Some clients notice sensations during a session — warmth, a sense of movement, or a spontaneous breath shift — but these are generally described as pleasant or neutral, not painful.

Your first session at 2 Polished Beauty in Coquitlam begins with a short check-in. Angie will ask a few questions about how you have been feeling and what brought you in.

You then lie face-down on the massage table, fully clothed. Angie places her hands lightly along specific access points of your spine. The session typically lasts 45 to 60 minutes.

Afterward, Angie will check in with you and give you a few minutes to reorient before you leave. Many clients feel noticeably calmer by the time they walk out.

Spinal Flow sessions at 2 Polished Beauty are designed for women who are looking for a gentle, non-invasive way to support their wellbeing. Clients come from Coquitlam, Austin Heights, Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, Burnaby, and across Metro Vancouver.

It tends to be a good fit for people who feel stressed, overstimulated, or disconnected from their body — and who are looking for a calm, private, one-on-one experience. If you have a specific health condition or are pregnant, please mention it when booking.

Absolutely. You do not need any background in energy work, wellness practices, or bodywork to benefit from a Spinal Flow session. Many of Angie's clients in Coquitlam come in with no prior experience and find the work accessible and grounding.

You also do not need to hold any particular beliefs about energy or the body. The work is grounded in nervous system physiology, and your body responds to the touch and the environment of safety — regardless of what you believe going in.

Many clients notice a shift after their very first session. That said, the nervous system tends to respond more deeply over a series of sessions as it learns to settle more readily.

The most popular starting point at 2 Polished Beauty is the Nervous System Reset — a package of three sessions designed to give your body enough time to begin building a new baseline of ease.

Single sessions are also available if you would like to try the work before committing to a package.

2 Polished Beauty is located at 1140 Austin Ave #104 in Austin Heights, Coquitlam, BC — a short drive from Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, Burnaby, and Vancouver.
